Vision Of Love (Cold Case Psychic Book 0)

by Pandora Pine

Carson Craig, the West Side Psychic, has just had a vision. This shouldn’t be a strange occurrence since he makes his living offering people glimpses of “the other side.” The problem is that Carson is a fraud. He’s never even seen a glimmer of what the future holds, but now this vision of a green-eyed man, his chest bleeding from a gunshot wound, brings the charlatan-seer to his knees.

Human Resources Manager, Truman Wesley, has just fired an employee. Although unpleasant, it’s a normal part of his job. What makes this incident unusual is that the firing occurs three weeks before Christmas and the enraged employee vows to get his revenge. Truman is badly shaken after the incident but tries to put it out of his mind so he can enjoy his favorite time of year with his family and friends.

All Carson wants to do when he sets out to find the handsome man in his vision is save the man’s life. It seems that fate and the hearts of these two men have other plans. As Christmas draws near, Carson finds himself falling in love and struggling to find a way to tell Truman the truth about what brought them together.

When Truman discovers the truth about his lover all on his own and walks away from their relationship, will Carson be able to save him before these frightening visions become a reality?

This book is a prequel to the Cold Case Psychic series that will continue in 2018

🌟🌟🌟🌟 4 Stars (because I already loved the characters from reading Cold Case Psychic)

🔥🔥🔥Heat level: 3

Now I read Cold Case Psychic book first and while that book has all the details about Carson and Truman and how they got together I still wanted to know more about their story so I asked Pandora about Carson and Truman and she told me about this book. From what I can tell online this book was published in November 2017 before the Cold Case Psychic series started in January 2018. From other reviews I’ve read it seems many people have done the same as me and read this book after having read Cold Case Psychic. Before I go any further I’d love to hear peoples thoughts from those who read this book first then the Cold Case Psychic. I want to know how you found it.

I must say because I already had a soft spot for Carson and Truman I think that made me love this book more. These characters were very well introduced in the Cold Case Psychic series and I felt like I already knew about them and their lives so reading this book was like going back to the beginning and seeing how they met and fell in love.

Having previous knowledge of how solid they are as a couple ‘now’ (in Cold Case Psychic) I was about to find this love story more believable but looking at it objectively they met and say ‘I love you’ after two dates and even talked about babies and marriage on date two. I might be jaded but I think in the ‘real’ world that might seem a bit crazy but thankfully this isn’t the real world and I was able to get swept up in their worldwide/speed of lightning love story.

Pandora has a knack for drawing you in and creating tense ‘scenes’ that keep you on the edge of your seat or at least make you think “OMG what’s going to happen”. Even though I knew the eventual outcome of this book I still had these moments while reading. I loved the truthful banter between Carson and Truman and how life (and thoughts) can change in the blink of a eye. I think this was a good story in that the characters took their close call with death and accelerated their life plan really quickly. From meeting to dating to life saving to married with kids on the way in about 6 months!

I really enjoyed ‘seeing’ Truman and Carson’s relationship progress and solidify and can’t help but enjoy how sweet together! I also liked reading how Carson and Cole received their gifts and how their mother guided them to their gifts and subsequent soulmates. I still would have liked to know more about how both Carson and Cole approached their gifts are this near death experience and still feel like I’m missing a little bit of that knowledge between this book and when they meet Tennyson in Cold Case Psychic who became their guide.

Anyway I love a good mystery and while this filled in the blanks so to speak, I prefer and I look forward to reading more in the Cold Case Psychic series with Carson and Truman as a family.

Extra Random Thought:

A few things I seem to have missed though is the age of Carson and his brother Cole (and Cassie too). From the story it seems Carson in almost 10 years older than Cole and finishing collage so Cole should be around 22 therefore Carson would be 31-32 (and Truman being 30). With Cassie I have no clue just that she’s been divorced and works in HR so in theory should have gone to collage so if she got married and divorced young that could put her around Cole’s age or if she was older closer to Truman’s age. It really doesn’t matter I just have tendency to remember details and descriptions more than names (which is why I started this blog to help me remember character names) and these random things stick with me.

Thanks for reading 📚!
