Fake Out (Fake Boyfriend – Book One) by Eden Finley
Narrated by Alexander Cendese and Iggy Toma
Maddox:
The reason I rarely go home is three simple words: I’m a liar.
When the pressure to marry my childhood sweetheart became too much, I told her I was gay and then fled to New York like my ass was on fire.
Now, five years later and after a drunken encounter, I find myself invited to her wedding. And I have to bring my boyfriend—the boyfriend who doesn’t exist because I’m straight.
At least, I think I am. Meeting the guy I’m bribing to be my boyfriend for the weekend makes me question everything about myself.
Damon:
When my sister asks me to pretend to be some straight guy’s boyfriend, my automatic response is to say no. It’s because of guys like him people don’t believe me when I tell them I’m gay.
But Maddox has something I need.
After an injury that cost me my baseball career, I’m trying to leave my playing days behind and focus on being the best sports agent I can be. Forty-eight hours with my sister’s best friend in exchange for a meeting with a possible client. I can do this.
I just wish he wasn’t so hot. Or that he didn’t kiss like he means it.
Wait … why is the straight guy kissing me?
*Fake Out is a full-length MM novel with no cliffhanger.*

What a great opener to the series! I love Maddox and Damon!!
This was my first book of Eden’s and was surprised to learn she’s Australian too! I love discovering Australian talent! I loved the dynamics of Eden’s writing and the depth of her characters. I’m so glad I found Eden’s stories!!
Maddox endeared me to him from the start. I felt his awkwardness, anxiety, confusion and commitment phobia. He seemed like a (somewhat confused) free spirit from he start and I enjoyed ‘watching’ him evolve throughout this book and discover who he is and who he could become. Maddox had a server phobia of commitment and being ‘stuck’ or ‘trapped’, I felt Eden did a wonderful job in allowing Maddox to find his perfect person in Damon, that changed his fear, phobias and ultimately himself.
Damon seemed a bit uptight in the beginning of this book but eventually he comes out of his shell and is loveable, bold and confident in who he is. He journey to finding Maddox is an interesting one and I love his sister Stacy and her ongoing pranks (which occasionally backfire) and her crazy dynamic with Maddox.
I felt like this was a well rounded book and loved the main and secondary characters. With some wit, drama and a prank gone wrong this book is a great example of the fake boyfriend trope and has made me a forever fan of Eden Finley!!
🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration: 4.5 headphones; Review:
I found the Narration by Alexander Cendese (Maddox) and Iggy Toma (Damon) for Fake Out really good. I loved the characters and how Alexander brought Maddox to life with wit, humour and sass and how Iggy played Damon’s seriousness, pain and love so well I could feel these guys falling for each other. The sex is also hot, hot, hot 🔥🔥🔥!
All in all, great narration for a great story!!!

About the Author
Eden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff.
She doesn’t take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart.
With a short attention span that rivals her five-year-old son’s, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF.
She’s also an Australian girl and apologises for her Australianisms that sometimes don’t make sense to anyone else.
