“No one else needs help?”

“I could use some.” The voice is as thick and enticing as the muscle-bound thighs I’ve been ogling since meeting him earlier today.

I spin on my heel and once again I’m struck by Leif Larsson’s magnetism. His charisma comes across on television and during games, but having the full force of it focused on me is surreal and, I’m not going to lie, heady. “Sure. What can I do for you?”

The playful purse of his lips and the crinkle of his eyes, like he has a delicious secret, send my nerve endings in overdrive. I swear if he touched me right now, I’d combust. No one should be that sexy. It’s a public health hazard. Long-term exposure could cause swooning and stripping off all clothes—preferably his.

“I’m sure you can do a lot.” His sky-blue eyes drop to my chest—which is currently doing all it can to keep my heart from batter-ramming its way out—and skate down my body before taking a leisurely stroll back to my face. The swipe of his tongue over his thick lips as he digs his hands deep into the front pockets of his dark-washed jeans is porn-worthy. “But for now, maybe you could help me…” He juts his chin toward Striker, Axel, Calder, and Sawyer, who seem to be as interested in our interaction as Monet. Striker waves his furry yellow hand, causing Leif’s cheeks to flush the most appealing shade of pink.

“Are you okay?” I move closer, putting my hand on his elbow, because I’ll use any excuse to touch him.

He glances at my hand, but before he can question why I’m caressing him, a shoulder slams into my back, and I stumble forward. Leif catches me by the hips.

The scent of laundry detergent and something like sandalwood tickles my nose. I’m so close to Leif I could lean in and lick the space below his jaw. “Um…”

The blue of his eyes darkens as he gives my hips a quick squeeze, then drops his hands and steps away. He clears his throat and scratches his jaw. “Yeah… so… I was going to grab some food and drinks for the guys,” he tosses his thumb in the direction of the three men and the yellow mascot, “and to see if you wanted anything.”

“I’d be happy to help.” Let’s face it, I’d probably do anything if it meant I could spend five more minutes this close to him.
