Pisces Hooks Taurus

Signs of Love, Book 4
Pisces Hooks Taurus. He just doesn’t know it yet.
Zane Penn—creative, romantic Pisces—has it all planned out: he’ll land the perfect Meet Cute, fall in love, get married and live happily ever after. And he’ll do it all before his visa runs out.
Beckett Fisher—patient, down-to-earth Taurus—doesn’t believe in Love At First Sight. Or Happily Ever After. Or Zane’s grand plan, apparently.
Well, that just won’t do. Time to show the beautiful, princely professor that it can happen. Time to give him the bromance of a lifetime. . . .
. . . Time to ask why this feels like more than bromance.
Dreamy Pisces will need a devoted Taurus to figure these new feelings out.
“Pisces Hooks Taurus” is an opposites attract, marriage of convenience, slow burn MM romance with a sweet HEA. This New Adult, age gap, friends-to-lovers novel is the fourth book in the Signs of Love series.

A bunch of dishes sat in the sink.
Someone had made spaghetti and sauce.
At least Leah had cleaned up the dishes she had used to bake those delicious-looking chocolate brownies. He helped himself to some pecans and then a brownie and started washing the dishes.
When he finished, the fading evening light inspired him to begin sketching. One sketch led to another, and once again he was staring at the graceful lines of Beckett’s body. Stomach flipping, he distracted himself by eating another brownie, then squared his shoulders and went in search of the man himself. He found Beckett scrubbing his hands in the bathroom.
“You took off your blazer. And changed your shirt.”
“What are you eating?”
“Dessert.”
He moved in front of Beckett where he stood drying his hands, broke a tiny piece of brownie off, and brought it to Beckett’s lips.
“Before dinner?”
“My motto growing up in New Zealand.”
“Your motto?”
“Never know when an earthquake could strike. I always ate dessert first, just in case.” Beckett shook his head and inched forward. He opened his mouth and sucked the piece from between Zane’s fingers, their gazes catching. This would be a good moment to say something. Or kiss him?
Zane broke another piece and fed Beckett more. Little shivers raced over Zane’s skin. “Chocolaty,” Beckett murmured. Zane lost his nerve and stuffed a big bite of brownie in his mouth. Beckett sidled past him and out of the bathroom.
“Bring me another one?” Zane called through the open door as he started filling the bath. Because why not? He didn’t have one yesterday.
He poured in the fruity liquid, and bubbles burst to life like blooming flowers. What on earth just happened? He blinked and snapped off the tap. Bubbles overflowed the porcelain rim of the bath, splashing onto the tiles. He found candles and set one per corner. He should probably hop into the bath before lighting them this time. Last time he’d . . . he’d done something.
Almost kicked one into the water, that’s right. Jesus, that had been hilarious. Imagine a lit candle plopping into the bath. Were bubbles flammable?
“What are you laughing at?” came Beckett’s voice.
Zane twisted around, laughter making his eyes pinch with tears. Beckett’s face cocked to the side, eyes widening. So blue. So crazy blue. Wow, tears really sharpened Zane’s vision. Beckett’s eyes weren’t just blue but streaked with teal, too.
“What did you put in those brownies?” Beckett asked, rubbing his elbow. Reading Beckett had never been so easy. He was nervous. Did he anticipate Zane’s kiss? Zane stepped forward and slid his palms over the compact muscles of Beckett’s shoulders. Beckett’s shiver triggered one of his own.
“Teal,” Zane said, swooping toward that sensuous mouth. Beckett sidestepped, and Zane toppled forward. A tight grip on his upper arm steadied him.
“Have you ever made brownies? How much weed did you use? How many pieces did you eat?”
“I didn’t bake.” Zane smacked his tongue on the roof of his mouth.
“If I did, I’d have used better chocolate. This American chocolate tastes weird. Wait, weed?” He shook his head defiantly and whisper-shouted, “Are you telling me I’m going to get high?”
“I’m telling you that you already are.”
“No, no, no. I don’t want to be high. My last flatmate was high all the time. Always ended up naked, fondling himself on the couch. Promise me I won’t embarrass myself. Not that I’m not used to embarrassment, but not tonight. Tonight is our night, Becky. It’s supposed to be full of—Jesus, how many bubbles are in this bathtub? I should probably get in before the water gets cold.” He tugged his hoodie over his head and nearly garroted himself on the knotted cord. He laughed into the swaths of material covering his nose and eyes. His elbows were stuck.
“Hold still a second,” came a soothing voice, and Zane obeyed.
“Keep talking to me, Professor, your voice is a lullaby. And that’s a metaphor.”
A soft laugh skated over his nape. His hoodie shifted, and he was free.
Zane aimed for a sultry smile and lifted his arms. “Undress me.”
Beckett balled Zane’s hoodie in his arms. “That’s probably not a great idea.”
“It’s the best idea.”
