Ignacio’s POV
We’re shoved in what must be the back of a van because when I’m pushed down, my ass hits the metal flooring—there aren’t any seats. Nobody says shit when a gun is shoved against my head, and yeah, I may not be able to see it, but I know what that fucking feels like. I don’t take a risk on moving and let the person behind me zip tie me and whoever else is in front of me does the same to my legs. From the ragged breathing, the one behind me must be the man whose nose I broke. I smile briefly at that, but it falls when my wrists are attached to some sort of bar behind me. It’s enough that I’m having to lean forward while my arms are raised up to the bar. Fuck. I’ll be in plain sight and there isn’t any way to get out of it. I’m going to have to hope, wherever we end up, I’ll be able to find a chance to escape then.
I want to say something, to reassure Benjamin, but I won’t give these fuckers a chance to pounce on any emotion I do show. They may know more than I expect, but there’s no reason to give them anything they may not be aware of yet. I turn my head at Benjamin’s cursing, shaking my head in hopes I’ll get the hood off, even though I know it’s impossible.
“Fucker! He’s stronger than I thought. Definitely had some training.” The sound of a scuffle shouldn’t fill me with pride, not with the fear coursing through me. A solid oomph sounds and whoever is standing is breathing hard. “Tie him up. We’re going to have fun with him. He’s going to regret that.”
I pull against the restraints, not giving a fuck about the way they dig into my hands. My feet slip against the floor as I try to gain some leverage, but all I get from the few inches I’m able to rise is a sharp jab in my ribs, sending me back down.
“You’re both going to end up being fun…” the man mutters in front of me. He cups my cheek, drawing his thumb over my hood covered lips. I open my mouth to bite him anyway, but his finger is gone almost immediately. He must have known my plans. With a hard voice, he issues a command I had hoped not to hear. “Take care of him. Say night-night, Chaos.”
I don’t have time to give a retort. Or even say something for Benjamin to help keep him calm. One sharp jab is all that it takes before suffocating blackness overtakes me.
