Let It Breathe Cover

Queens Crescent, Book 5

Simon Harrington has two great loves, the first being his son, Luca, and the second, wine. As a premier importer, Simon has built a business that allows him to live on Queens Crescent, one of London’s most exclusive addresses. Yet that life is under threat—one of Simon’s main clients has gone bust.

When Simon’s ex-wife nags him to find a man and stop hiding behind their son, Simon feels change is in the air. And when he meets Rodrigo Costa at a party, everything turns upside down. This man is the most gorgeous hunk Simon has ever laid eyes on. Even better, it appears nightclub owner Rodrigo could be the answer to Simon’s business woes.

The chemistry between them is off the scale from the first moment they meet. However, Simon soon discovers Rodrigo is running from his own demons. Simon will have to let his guard down completely to find the happiness he craves. Is he brave enough to do that?

“Get your trunks on,” Rodrigo shouted through.

Simon frowned. “I didn’t bring any.”

“Schoolboy error,” Rodrigo hollered back. “You’ll have to swim in your boxers then.”

He began to protest and assure Rodrigo that he would be more than happy to sit on a recliner. Then he stopped. What had happened to living life to the fullest?

“Fuck it,” he said to himself.

Quickly, he shed his clothes. The temperature wasn’t crazy hot. Even so, he didn’t want Rodrigo to think him a stick-in-the-mud.

With more than a hint of self-consciousness, he padded out to the patio in just his black Calvin Klein boxer shorts. Rodrigo was still in his room.

The pool looked inviting after many hours on a plane. Placing his glass on the side, he dipped his toe in the water. It was beautifully warm.

Unable to wait any longer, he stepped down. The heat wrapped around his body as he ducked under. His neighbour Charles Worthington had converted his whole basement at Queens Crescent into a pool area. Simon had dismissed it as a needless extravagance, yet, as he swam around in the small pool, he wondered if Charles had been on to something.

“Room for another?”

Simon spun around. Rodrigo stood in the doorway in the smallest pair of red trunks Simon had ever seen. His body was awe inspiring. Tattoos covered his arms and chest, leaving the rest of his tight muscled body clear. His tan legs looked solid.

“Come on in,” Simon managed, his voice maddeningly high-pitched.

Rodrigo grinned and sashayed over. The swimwear barely covered a sizeable bulge that Simon couldn’t take his eyes off. This man was as stunning as the view.

Either unaware or unconcerned at his effect, Rodrigo glided into the water. “Oh, this feels good. I miss my pool,” he said. “London is very beautiful. The weather though. How do you stand it all year round?”

Simon laughed. “You get used to it.”

Rodrigo floated on his back. Once again, Simon’s eye was drawn to Rodrigo’s groin. He had to try to be less obvious otherwise this trip could become very awkward.

Instead, he swam to the edge and retrieved his glass. The wine would help him relax. He drained it in one.

“Aren’t you supposed to sip it?”

Rodrigo stood, his jet-black hair stuck to his head. He ran his hands through it, forcing it out of his eyes.

“I’d better get the bottle,” Simon said. “It’s too good to let go warm.”

He waded to the side. Simon kept himself in shape, yet shuddered as he stepped out of the pool. Rodrigo was watching him carefully.

About the Author:

I have written for as long as I could write. In fact, before, when I would dictate to my auntie. I love to read, and I love to create worlds and characters.

I live in the English countryside. When I’m not writing, I like to get out there and think through the next scenario I’m going to throw my characters into.

Inspiration can be found anywhere, on a train, in a restaurant or in an office. I am always in search of the next character to find love in one of my stories. In a world of apps and online dating, it is important to remember love can be found when you least expect it.
