Exclusive Excerpt:
Walking back into the kitchen, the smell of the spicy chicken was intoxicating. He’d need to eat something before he started work, or he’d end up ordering crap to see him through his shift. He pulled on his shoes at the front door.
“You’ll have to give me the recipe for that,” said Langdon.
“What are you doing tomorrow?”
“Working, but not until four o’clock.”
“Why don’t you come over for lunch and I’ll save some for you. It’s always better the next day.”
“Are you asking me on a lunch date?”
“No.”
“Oh,” said Langdon, feeling embarrassed.
“Langdon, look at me.”
He looked into Eric’s gorgeous eyes, and his breath hitched.
“If I was taking you out on a date, I’d do something far better than give you leftovers for lunch.”
“Oh yeah? Where would you take me?”
“Why don’t we find out on your next night off?”
Langdon’s heart was beating like the clappers. Eric had said he wasn’t looking for a relationship, but he couldn’t get into that now. All he could do was agree to the date and try not to smile too much. They agreed to finalise things tomorrow when Langdon came back for lunch. He turned to leave.
“Langdon, do I not get a goodbye kiss?”
Jesus, this guy was going to be the death of him, but he wasn’t turning down the opportunity. He turned to face Eric. They moved together and their lips met, tentative at first, Langdon unsure how far to take it. Eric’s tongue pushed against Langdon’s lips, demanding entrance. The electricity between them was crackling as their tongues danced for dominance and they pulled each other’s bodies closer. Langdon could feel Eric’s thickness pressed against his thigh and his body was desperate to thrust against him. Langdon would happily be late for work and drag Eric upstairs, but he wanted to have their date first, so he gently pulled back with little kisses. When he stepped back, Eric’s lips looked all swollen and his pupils were blown with lust. It was a confidence boost for Langdon to know he’d done that to a guy like Eric.
“I’ll see you tomorrow for lunch,” Langdon croaked, before leaning forward to give Eric a kiss on the cheek.
Eric blushed adorably. Langdon had to leave, or he wouldn’t be able to control himself. Their date couldn’t come soon enough.
