With the Jarl’s Blessing: A Yuletide Tale by Ki Brightly
Narrated by Clive Johnson

Odin, the jarl’s son, wants to be with Loki and has for as long as he can remember. Odin intends to use the magic of Yuletide – the time between the old year and the new one – to win over Loki.

Loki doesn’t need much convincing to see how wonderful Odin is, but he can’t see a future for himself with the son of a jarl. How would it be possible?

With the jarl’s blessing, Odin hopes to prove, once and for all time, he’s the man for Loki.

This is a 10,000-word Yule tale meant to help warm a listener through the gloom of the winter solstice, the year’s longest night. Happy holidays and happy listening!

A wonderful taste of a historical fantasy Yuletide featuring Loki & Odin.

This novelette is a very short, sweet and sexy taste of Loki and Odin getting together. It’s set in historical Scandinavia with fantasy elements from the Norse Gods and Valhalla as far as I could tell. With so few words Ki managed to endear me to Loki and Odin right from the start and I was taken into their world. I am impressed with the writing style, details and the emotional intricacies put for by Ki with so few words. A wonderful quick read that is sure to warm you on a winters night.

While this is my first time reading Ki Brightly and listening to Clive Johnson, I enjoyed the narration and accent. I felt it was really well narrated and really like it when a single narrator uses different dialects for each character. My only comment is that I didn’t really like the voice Odin’s used for Loki, but other than that is was greatly done!!
