As soon as he was gone, I exhaled, turned, and sat down, head dipping low and falling on my hands. “Don’t worry, it wasn’t that bad,” Frank said quietly, causing me to both jump and groan. I finally looked in his direction and was met by a wide smile. “Honestly, your flirting is a little rusty.” He paused a moment, brows lifting. “That was what you were attempting, right?” I snorted. “I think so, yeah, maybe.” Frank laughed, stepping fully into the area, already showered and dressed. “That’s a relief. There was this whole awkward, almost adorable thing going on between you. It was a bit like watching… I don’t know, a foal trying to walk for the first time. Clumsy and wobbly, but cute.” “Nope.” I shook my head despite my laughter. “I can’t….” I groaned again before saying, “Was it really that bad?” My voice remained low. “Not so bad that a bit of practice won’t fix it.” I exhaled, collected my belongings, and stood. Reality then hit me. “Please don’t say anything to anyone.” I was a private guy, and the thought of any more gossip surrounding me made my stomach dip. “My lips are sealed.” He jerked his head towards the exit. “Come on. Let’s get settled and the barbie going.”
