Release Tour, Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway: Of Fire & Bone By Natalina Reis
Of Magic and Scales, Book Three
As if having a powerful druid and a goddess for parents doesn’t suck enough, throwing a vengeful god into the fray certainly doesn’t do Aiden any favors.
Aiden Mercer’s summer has been interesting—if by interesting you mean life-threatening and heartbreaking that is. With fall fast approaching, he’s looking for a quiet time in the arms of his boyfriend, Naël, the handsome merman.
Alas, life never quite goes the way you plan it, does it? Unless Aiden finds a way to stop the wicked god Baburaj and his mother, Jhanvi from achieving their devilish goals, pain and destruction will hover over him like a starving vulture.
In the third and final book in the Of Magic & Scales series, the familiar cast of zany but lovable characters is back, and they are bringing reinforcements for what promises to be an epic and sexy ending. Join Aiden, Naël, and their circle of magical friends in their final adventure. **No magical creatures were harmed in the writing of this book**

Special Exclusive Excerpt:
Taz, who had sneaked behind me as usual and just about made me jump out of my skin, said, “Oh, he does indeed have something in store, but that magic trunk of his won’t help him this time.” Everyone laughed except me. I, the original joker, was finding zero humor in the whole situation. Maybe the king of the Fae wouldn’t be able to demand any sexual favors anymore, but that didn’t mean he was harmless. “Stop worrying about it, Aiden, and drink that coffee. Too good to go to waste.” I felt a hand slide over my shoulders and settle behind my neck. My boyfriend leaned forward just enough to place a kiss in that small hollow between my shoulder and my neck. I shivered, and my muscles relaxed, some of my anxiety dissipating as the warmth of his lips traveled through my body to wake up my favorite body part. I leaned back against his hard body and closed my eyes for a moment, losing myself in the sensation. How had I survived almost thirty-seven years without my merman? “Can you at least have the decency to keep it in your pants until you’re alone?” Cristina said. I opened my eyes and glared at her, but she was smiling. My best friend could be such a pain sometimes. “When are you going to do it?” “Make love? Not until we get rid of all of you.” I knew exactly what she meant, but I needed that easy levity our relationship thrived on. We’d had so many scary and heartbreaking moments in the past few months, I just wanted to rejoice in the knowledge my best friend was still alive and well and that everything else seemed to be okay for the moment. Cristina crossed her arms in front of her and stuck her lower lip out, much in Vee’s typical style. “All right, I know. How does tomorrow night sound?” It sounded terrible to me, but I had to let go, I guessed. We all agreed and drank some more of the amazing coffee Cristina had wrangled from a mysterious friend who, she claimed, had connections with a coffee plantation in Africa. It was better not to ask too many questions. After they all left, Fouchard and I closed the store and drove to his house in Cascais. The palacete, a beautiful example of Portuguese architecture, appeared around a curve on the coastal highway, its soft pink walls and wrought iron balconies glistening like jewels under the light of the moon. Home. The word still sounded strange to me after a lifetime of having no place to call that. Not really. I had had roofs over my head most of my life, but inside of their walls, there was no love. Until I met Cristina, I had never loved or been loved in any shape or form. Until Naël, I had never been truly loved and wanted by anyone. I felt privileged but lived in fear of losing what I was pretty certain I couldn’t live without any longer—didn’t want to live without.

About the Author:
Natalina wrote her first romance in collaboration with her best friend at the age of 13. Since then she has ventured into other genres, but romance is first and foremost in almost everything she writes.
After earning a degree in tourism and foreign languages, she worked as a tourist guide in her native Portugal for a short time before moving to the United States. She lived in three continents and a few islands, and her knack for languages and linguistics led her to a master’s degree in education. She lives in Virginia where she has taught English as a Second Language to elementary school children for more years than she cares to admit.
Natalina doesn’t believe you can have too many books or too much coffee. Art and dance make her happy and she is pretty sure she could survive on lobster and bananas alone. When she is not writing or stressing over lesson plans, she shares her life with her husband and two adult sons.
