Chapter 8: Aldo Farnese
Thankfully, I could hear the amusement in his voice. “Are you really giving me a good-night hug?”
“You could think of it as upright cuddling if it makes it less weird for you,” I joked as I looked up at him with a broad grin. “You looked like you needed it.”
His lips quirked up as he absentmindedly rubbed my back. “Maybe I did.”
“You definitely did.” Feeling particularly bold, I went up on tiptoes and kissed the underside of his chin, since that was the only part of him I was tall enough to reach. “You looked like you needed a good-night kiss, too.”
One of his eyebrows cocked upward in a silent challenge. “Isn’t that a little too chaste for you of all people to call a good-night kiss?”
My heart raced from the exhilarating thrill of a new game starting. “You’re welcome to demonstrate what you’d prefer instead.”
I thought he would balk at my offer, but to my great delight, he cupped my face in his hands and kissed me. It wasn’t a soft whisper of a kiss wishing me sweet dreams. No, it was a dominating, soul-searing, toe-curling, fuck-me-until-I-come-three-times-and-pass-out kind of kiss that I moaned into as I laced my fingers in his hair and tugged him closer. Gone was the Rook from earlier who had let me take control of his desires. Now, he ravaged me like the alpha hero he played in the movies, as if he intended to lay me flat out on the coffee table and fuck me until we broke it. And while I normally preferred being able to take the lead, I was more than okay with submitting to his demands that I give in to him when it felt that amazing.
When he finally let me gasp for breath, there was a dark fire in his eyes that set my soul ablaze. My dick was as hard as a steel rod, and I was seconds away from stripping naked and spreading my legs for him. All he had to do was say the word and my ass was his, which was a privilege I had allowed only my first two sexual partners before I decided it wasn’t for me.
He traced my lower lip with his thumb as he gazed down at me through lowered lashes that made my cock twitch in the confines of my now too-tight pants. “Good night,” Rook murmured in his deep, sexy voice before stepping back to put distance between us—but not before I noticed I wasn’t the only one with a raging hard-on.
My jaw dropped as I spluttered. “You—you can’t—you’re just going to fucking walk away after a kiss like that?”
“Sweet dreams.” The cocky fucker had the audacity to blow me a kiss before leaving with a hearty laugh. It simultaneously left me in stitches and fuming mad that he had no intentions of doing anything about the major case of blue balls he had just given me.
“Don’t forget that paybacks are hell!” I called out to him before he disappeared into his room as he kept laughing, shutting the door behind him.
Left alone in the living room, completely riled up, I clenched my hands into fists as I tried to steady myself. “Fuck!” I hissed under my breath as I grabbed my computer and shut off the lights. As I passed by his room, I said loud enough to be heard, “Just for that, I’m jerking off while thinking about you! And don’t think I don’t know you’re getting off fantasizing about me in there!”
