“You’re not fucked up,” Mase said as he touched his forehead to Jazz’s. Jazz pushed hard against Mase’s chest and stood. With jerky movements, he threw his toiletry bag into his carryon and zipped it up. “I am. Don’t tell me this isn’t all fucked up. I can’t even…” He couldn’t even say ‘sex’ or ‘fuck’ or ‘make love’, let alone do any of those things. He’d never been able to, not even when he’d wanted to—with Mase. Only with Mase. “Maybe that’s not what I’m looking for,” Mase said. Jazz snorted. “I’m not saying I don’t like sex. I do. But maybe I like you more.” Jazz whirled around to look at Mase. He needed to see his face to know if he was telling the truth. He was. “What does that mean?” “It can mean whatever we want it to mean. I just want to be with you. I’ve always wanted to be with you. We have this time, Jazz. We have to be together for the next few weeks, at least until we get new orders. Can’t we just try?”
