NOT A STANDALONE and contains heavy spoilers for Death of the Moon.
While there is a complete story arc in this book, there are plot threads
ending on a soft cliffhanger that concludes the last installment of the
trilogy. There is language and explicit intimate scenes not suitable
for readers under the age of 18. Warnings: MC with PTSD, past torture
implied, dealing with grief and self-doubt.

“Help me forget, a rúnsearc.” Alec held Damien’s face between his hands and captured his lips in another deep kiss. “Overwhelm me with your scent so there’s nothing else but the two of us here in this room.”
Damien groaned, Alec’s words replacing the need to comfort with something else. Something better. Damien could do that. It’d be no hardship.
Kissing his way along Alec’s face to his neck, Damien was careful to stay lifted off the other man’s body. Determination to wipe every last trace of sadness out of Alec’s eyes spurred him on. Alec shivered with a low moan as Damien latched onto the sensitive spot behind his ear, sucking up a bruise there.
He chuckled. “That’s it, sweetheart. I’ve got you.”
Alec growled and tugged at Damien for another kiss, which he happily gave him before sliding lower and capturing a nipple between his teeth. He hadn’t dared explore like this before, but they’d had such success with everything they’d done so far … maybe they could test the boundaries a bit.
“Okay?” he asked, checking in.
The answering moan told him everything he needed to know. Damien kissed across Alec’s chest to his other nipple. Alec twisted his fingers in Damien’s hair, encouraging him to stay longer. That worked for him. He curled his lips into a devilish grin, sucking hard on the nub until Alec arched his back beautifully toward Damien’s mouth.
“Oh, gods, Damien. That feels so good. That—”
Alec cut off with a loud moan as Damien cupped Alec’s cock, now hard and leaking against his scarred abdomen. Damien pulled back to get a better view of Alec’s flushed cheeks and chest, admiring the bruises he’d sucked into Alec’s skin.
They probably wouldn’t last long, but he’d enjoy making more.
“I want to taste you,” Damien murmured, squeezing Alec’s cock to make it absolutely clear what he meant. “I haven’t had the chance yet. Is that something you’d like?”
Alec nodded his head quickly, accompanied by a soft, needy whimper.
But then he hesitated, biting his bottom lip. “I want you to but …”
Yeah. The constant threat of a panic attack lingered between them whenever they were like this in bed. But Damien had ideas for how to ease Alec’s concern.
Damien slid off the bed, kneeling on the floor. “Slide down here and drape your legs over my shoulders. Stop if you need to, and we’ll try something else.”
Alec could always fuck Damien’s face.
He gripped the base of his cock at that thought and groaned. If they didn’t get to that today, they needed to soon. Who would’ve known Damien would like the idea so much?
“The room just flooded with your arousal.” Alec huffed out a teasing laugh. Damien’s shoulders relaxed as levity replaced their earlier somber mood. “Whatever you were thinking about? I want that.”

S.A. Pavlik writes what she wants to read, but it doesn’t exist… yet. An avid reader, she first discovered and promptly devoured hundreds of M/M Romance novels in 2019 and it rekindled her desire to write. She started her debut novel, Death of the Moon, the very next year.
