Exclusive Excerpt:
My dragon purred as Sen rubbed me. In circles. Soothing. “Are you all right?” His low, soft voice caressed my ears and spread through my body, and so did the warmth that he nudged into me through our connection. I shuddered. “Don’t…do…that. I can’t think when you do that.” “Merwati.” His lips grazed my ear. Merwati? What did it mean? I lifted my head and looked at him. His green eyes were so deep I wondered if I could get sucked into them and never come out. “It’s beautiful here,” Sen said, but he wasn’t looking at anything other than me. “What am I doing?” I asked, although I wasn’t actually expecting an answer. “It’s inexplicable, no?” He was so close. I couldn’t think. I wasn’t sure who made the first move, but before I knew it, our lips touched, and I stopped trying to rationalize whatever was keeping me from him. Why resist? What was the point? Deep inside, I knew whatever I did, I’d inevitably be drawn to him. My dragon had already known that and had marked him. He’d tied us together. I was just stubborn, and I resisted. There was no hesitation in Sen, though. His tongue simply swooped in and took possession of the inside of my mouth. I’d normally have fought for control. I preferred to be the bottom most of the time, but I was still the bossy one. I didn’t like losing control, and up till now I’d trusted no one enough to let go. But with Sen, I was happy to have him take charge. When he ended the kiss, it was me who forcefully pulled him back in. “I want you,” I whispered into his ear. My voice was gravelly as my dragon spoke through me. He was close to the surface. He wanted Sen, so I wanted him too. But before I could meet his lips with my own, he gently pushed me away and booped me on my nose. “My bossy Merwati. Maybe we can move this inside?” My dragon growled in frustration, and I huffed at both him and the situation. With a sigh, I opened the car door and got out. He was right. Inside my tiny car was not the place to make out. “What’s Mer…wa…ti? You keep calling me that,” I said as I opened the door to my house and stepped inside. But before I could take another step, Sen pulled me into his arms. “Merwati.” Mmm. He even smelled good. My dragon would have wagged his tail if he were a dog as Sen ran his fingers through my hair, massaging my scalp. Then his hand settled on my back, kneading lightly. “Merwati means beloved,” he whispered into my ear. I shuddered and buried my face in his chest. Beloved.

Arian lives in the nostalgic rainy city of Seattle in the Pacific Northwest of the US with her loving husband, five adorable stuffed penguins, all with their own proper names, and one imaginary Maine Coon cat.
She began writing romance novels in high school primarily to entertain her romance reading buddies, but it soon became her hobby and passion. She’s just never been confident enough until later in her life to put herself out there.
She loves to live in her own head and vicariously experience the lives of her characters. How else would she be able to live half a dozen lives at once?
She’s grateful for her caring husband who’s been nothing but encouraging despite her spending hours inside her head and her imaginary furry friends who mostly don’t throw tantrums when she happens to be buried in her writing.
