Metal Soul
By Michelle Frost
Metal & Magic, Book 3
Three men. One destiny.
Zeb hasn’t seen his brother since the war, and despite finding a place within the Warren pack and befriending his potential mate, he’s lonely.
Josh only wants to live up to the Warren name—to protect his pack and territory to the best of his ability. He keeps the secret that he’s been in love with his potential mate since they met close to his chest. Zeb made it clear he doesn’t think Josh is mature enough for them to be mates yet, and Josh has only been waiting for the chance to prove him wrong.
Neither man expects Seven—a man whose body and mind have been altered against his will. The secrets locked in Seven’s memories could be the key to saving Zeb’s brother and stopping a war before it starts. All they have to do is embrace the path fate has set before them and each other.
Metal Soul is the third novel in the Metal & Magic series, dystopian urban fantasy romance. While each book contains an HEA, the main story line is ongoing. The series is best read in order.

Behind us, several tables filled the empty space in the middle of the room. Even though it’d been two decades since the war, the floor still showed where rows of shelves had held goods for travelers to purchase. Now there were only a handful of people scattered among the tables.
“How do you like your eggs?” Samson asked, bringing my attention back to him.
“Over easy if it’s no trouble,” I replied. Josh was still scanning the rest of the room the same way I’d been, so I answered for him too. “Him too.”
“Coming right up.” Samson pointed to another counter along the back wall. “Coffee pot’s back there. Help yourself.”
“Thanks.” Laying a hand on Josh’s elbow, I steered him toward the back. He looked over at me, gaze darting from mine to the table in the far corner. It sat next to one of the boarded up windows and only held one occupant—a lean man with shaggy black hair that smelled like a bird shifter. I gave him a little nod, knowing we couldn’t even whisper around Samson.
When we reached the coffee pot, I grabbed two mugs—mismatched and chipped—before filling them both to the brim and handing one to Josh. He sipped at his coffee, attention constantly straying to the man in the corner. Stepping close to him, I placed my hand on the back of his neck, giving him a gentle squeeze. “Stop fretting,” I said, low and quiet. “We can pick up my brother’s trail after we have some breakfast.”
His nostrils flared as his gaze traveled over my face. He turned into me, brushing his chest against mine and reaching up his free hand to my forearm. Every nerve in my body lit up at the contact. It wasn’t that we never touched each other—we did, like pack mates often do—but I’d just telegraphed to everyone in here that we were a couple, and I could tell from the mischief in his eyes that he was going to make me pay for it.
He swayed forward, breath fanning over my face. “You’re right. I’m just worried about losing him again.”
I tightened my grip on his neck and met his gaze. He was so close, the scent of him was overwhelming. I wanted nothing more than to lean forward and claim his lips, but as much as I wanted that, I also didn’t want our first kiss to be in some random outpost town surrounded by potential enemies.
